Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1-2 tablespoons red food coloring
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red sprinkles optional, for decoration
Instructions:
Warm up your oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a muffin tin
Put the cocoa powder, salt, and flour in a bowl and mix them together
Put away
Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in another bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy
One at a time, add the eggs and beat well after each one
Add the white vinegar and vanilla extract and mix well
Put the red food coloring and buttermilk in a small bowl and mix them together well
Beginning with the dry ingredients and ending with them, add the red buttermilk mixture to the butter-sugar mixture one at a time
Dont mix any further than that
Add the baking soda to the cupcake batter after mixing it with a little water in a small bowl
Mix everything together well
The white chocolate chips should be carefully mixed in
The batter should be about two thirds of the way up each cupcake liner
After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
Get the frosting ready while the cupcakes cool down
Put the softened cream cheese and butter in a bowl and beat them together until the mixture is smooth and creamy
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract slowly while beating the mixture until it is well mixed and fluffy
Add the white chocolate frosting to the cupcakes after they are completely cool
You can pipe or spread it on top
If you want, you can decorate with red sprinkles
