Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced pickles
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8-10 slices of bacon
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375F 190C
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, diced onion, diced pickles, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper
Mix until well combined
On a sheet of parchment paper, flatten the beef mixture into a rectangular shape
Lay the bacon slices side by side on another sheet of parchment paper, slightly overlapping them to form a bacon weave
Place the beef mixture on top of the bacon weave, then carefully roll it up into a log shape, using the parchment paper to help you roll
Heat vegetable oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat
Once hot, sear the bacon-wrapped burger roll on all sides until the bacon is browned
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the burger roll reaches 160F 71C
While the burger roll is baking, mix ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise in a bowl to make a dipping sauce
Once done, remove the bacon-wrapped burger roll from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing
Serve slices with the dipping sauce and enjoy
