Bacon-Onion Pinwheels

Bacon-Onion A tasty and delectable appetizer or snack are pinwheels. The combination of crispy bacon, caramelized onions, and creamy cheese fills puff pastry, which is then rolled into pinwheels and baked until golden. These flavorful and flaky pinwheels are ideal for gatherings and any time youre craving something sweet.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup caramelized onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh chives for garnish

Instructions:

Set the oven temperature to 375F 190C

On a surface that has been lightly floured, roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle

Line the puff pastry with an even layer of cream cheese

Over the cream cheese, scatter the shredded cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and caramelized onions

To taste, add salt and pepper for seasoning

Tightly roll the puff pastry sheet into a log, starting at one end

To seal the seam, dab the outside of the pastry with the beaten egg

Cut the log into 1/2-inch 1

25 cm round pinwheels and arrange them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet

Preheat the oven and bake the pinwheels for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are puffed and golden brown

Before serving, take them out of the oven and allow them to cool slightly

Before serving, garnish with finely chopped fresh chives
